Instructions for Dehydrating Fruits & Veggies

The use of dehydration to preserve foods dates back thousands of years. This method removes most of the moisture in the foods, preventing the growth of mold and bacteria. Dried foods, such as fruits and vegetables, require no refrigeration to store them and can last up to one year. The methods used to dry both fruits and vegetables are similar, differing only in preparation, and make use of an oven or dehydrator.
